RAWTools Philly's 2nd Annual Peacemaker Summit
RAWTools Philly's 2nd Annual Peacemaker Summit registration is open. You'll hear from people on the front lines of peacemaking, working to interrupt violence in our streets and in our world. There will be various workshops: learning to safely decommission unwanted guns; blacksmithing; welding; woodcrafting; youth activities to make art out of gun parts; and workshops on how to be a peacemaker (best practices, nonviolence training... etc.)
Organizing Around Housing Crisis
POWER Interfaith invites you to join in a training session as we begin to do base-building work. Our local elected officials chose to cut taxes for billionaires, cut community-based and place-based services, and give "affordable housing" work to the developers who have shown more interest in building luxury properties. We are looking to build a grassroots movement, build a place-based solidarity for the working poor to demand that our elected officials deliver on a revenue plan that will fund a set of affordable housing programs. If you want to join me in this effort, please sign up here.
